Make sure that you make the squat one of your basic exercises that you do regularly and you will see results.

Leg Press – This is another exercise that is very similar to the squat, as it works many of the same muscles. The seated leg press, however, is going to hit these muscles from another direction, which is always a good idea whenever you are looking for exercises for butt toning. The one thing that I would suggest, however, is that you do not do the leg press on the same day as you are doing your squats. You will get more out of them if you do them on different days.

Lunges – Another excellent exercise for butt toning is the lunge. This is best done while holding dumbbells, as the additional resistance will assist you in building more muscle. Caution should be taken, however, when doing these exercises as you can really injure yourself quickly, especially your knees. Make sure that your form is as perfect as possible, perhaps even asking someone to check you, so that you avoid hurting yourself whenever possible.
