How To Lose Belly Fat

——————————

The reason the diet is such an important part of achieving sixpack abs is because the reason most of us don’t have them is because we are carrying a layer of fat around with us. The only way that you’re going to see your abdominal muscles and to see any definition in them is to lower your body fat percentage down to single digits. This can be a rather difficult goal to achieve but it certainly is not out of your reach. The way that you do it, however, is to alter your diet.

Did you realize that the reason a farmer feeds his pigs cooked vegetables is because that is going to make them fat? If he were to feed them raw fruits and vegetables, they would lose weight because it takes more effort for them to be able to digest it. That is the reason that you need to add raw fruits and vegetables into your diet if you are going to lose weight and keep it off. I’m not necessarily telling you that you need to be a vegan or that you even need to be a vegetarian but I am saying that the more clean food you eat, the more benefit you are going to see as a result.

The type of exercise that you do is also very important if you want to lower your body fat percentage and see your abdominal muscles. You need to be doing muscle strength exercises that are working on the larger muscles of your body, the legs. Building up these leg muscles is the first step in burning fat because it is the easiest way for you to add lean muscle mass to your body. Since each pound of muscle you have on your body burns 60 calories a day, it is easy to see how this will help you lose weight.

Of course, you can’t work out your legs every day so the days that you are working your muscles, you need to be going high intensity interval training. This can be done on the treadmill, the bicycle, the elliptical machine or any other piece of exercise equipment at the gym. It only takes about a half hour every day but the metabolism will be raised for the entire day if they are done properly. This can help you to burn additional fat and to see results faster.
